SUMMARY Grapevine fanleaf virus (GFLV) is responsible for fan- leaf degeneration, which is one of the most severe virus diseases of grapevines worldwide. GFLV causes substan- tial crop losses, reduces fruit quality and shortens the longevity of grapevines in the vineyard.
